  1. PREPARATION is the number one key to being successful in an interview with a journalist. Know your story from back to front with 5-6 key messages. Have supporting examples to back up your key messages. Also, know the view of the opposing side. Prepare and practice the interview before going at it live. The more you prepare, the better the outcome.
